As a performer of electroacoustic music, I have always felt it essential to have, as far as is practical, my own instrument, just like any other musician. Experience over the years has led me to assemble a compact and flexible suite of equipment tailored to my needs.
In recent years the instrument has become increasingly digital. The core of the system is an IRCAM Signal Processing Workstation, linked to digital mixing facilities, Yamaha 02R, 03D or both. A MacIntosh G3, running MAX with msp has been added recently. These facilties are installed in the LEO studio for rehearsal and preparation work and taken out for concerts.
An eight channel sound system is available with Electrovoice speakers (S200 and 200SX) and C Audio amplifiers, together with cabling and patching, making a complete concert system.
Further facilities in the studio include DAT and CD-R facilities, Digidesign Sound Designer II digital editing and Sibelius 7 notation systems. Monitoring in the studio uses four channels of Professional Monitor Company TB1s.
The full facilities of LEO are available to any projects with which I am involved.
